YOU are a supervillain, finally putting your master plans into action and TAKING OVER THE CITY, on the same night that YOUR NEMESIS plans to do the exact same thing. You’re both under the impression that you only have 24 HOURS until the city will be yours – 12 to finalize your preparations, and 12 to put your evil schemes into action.

You and your nemesis are wrong.

You are about to find yourselves trapped in a loop of those same 24 hours, living and reliving them as many times as it takes to identify every complication, refine your takeover, and come out on top. No one besides you will remember the previous loops as clear as day, but make a strong enough impression on someone in one loop and it might carry to the next. What you do here matters. What you do here has to matter, if you ever want to gain the glory of having a city and your nemesis under your thumb at last.

You've got a lot of God's work to do.

When The Summer Dies is a is a two-player tabletop game about being two evil nemeses in a time loop, trying to take over before the other does. You'll use dice and an oracle deck of choice to figure out what you mean to each other, and what the city is to you both, all while trying again and again to finally take it over - sabotaging and spying on your opponent as you go.

When The Summer Dies is a hack of Time To Drop by Marn S., written for Time To Dropcember. It's intended to be played while listening to IMPERA by Ghost. It includes seven optional challenge modes, including one for playing with more than 2 people. Enjoy!

Played this with my friend yesterday and had a fantastic time! I love the time loop mechanic.
